PERMANENT / TEMPORARY COLLECTIONS at MUba
On the occasion of "Collector", Eugène Leroy shines a spotlight on the wide collection left in its care by CNAP for the last fifty years - especially for the last twenty years.
Since 1992, the museum of Tourcoing has set itself apart as the place where artworks are tested. This leads to a dialogue where style and theme are confronted, between modern art and art from previous centuries, but also between live arts and plastic arts. The pieces displayed are not always the same and change quite often.

Thus, the presentation of permanent collections is thought of, in Tourcoing, like a temporary exhibition in which the artworks from CNAP come and enrich major artworks from the permanent collections, with pieces that are contemporary, some of them form the 21st century: Martin Barré, James Bishop, Christian Bonnefoi, Maurice Denis, Ernest Guillemer, Elvire Jan, Donald Judd, Aurélie Nemours, Jean-Pierre Pincemin, Hans Reichel, Sol LeWitt… All of them question concepts such as haziness, time, place, abstraction, day to day life, the body, identity or the model. The Eugène Leroy laboratory, created after the Leroy sons’ donation, will display the newest loans that have a link with artworks from the donation.
