GO TO THE SITE :
For the Expo 2010 Shanghai, the City of Lille (France) wishes to open a pavilion in the heart of the city between May and July 2010. Settled in the temple Hong Miao (Nanjing Lu), the Pavilion Lille France aims to present in a simple way what is characteristic of the North of France and especially its art of living, its creativity, its artistic life, its openness to the world.
This pavilion will be a convivial meeting place with installations and a bar serving typical products, welcoming in an original way the press, the Chinese and international public who will visit the Expo 2010.
THE PLACE
Hong Miao, 496 East Nanjing Road
Hong Miao is a former Taoist temple built in brick and wood. It dates back to the era of the Ming dynasty (16th century). Hong Miao means red temple in Chinese. Covering over 600 m2, it is located on the prestigious Nanjing Road opposite the Sofitel Hyland hotel.
